Three Island Cruise

From: $125.04

The Three Island Cruise, for which we partner with an established vacation cruise company, will take you to spend some quality time on three very different (but equally awesome) Saronic islands: Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. Departing in the morning, the cruise bookends busy and adventurous excursions out to the islands (which can include, if desired, guided tours led by the cruise company) with a relaxing glide through the warm summer waters of the Mediterranean. The price includes your round trip transportation between the apartment and the harbor, a Greek lunch buffet with live music, and Greek dancing (drinks on board are extra). This is a terrific way to experience a condensed but fulfilling mini Greek cruise, and our guests really love the experience of moving between the islands on an elegant yacht. You won’t find anything like it anywhere else!

Highlights Full-day cruise to Hydra, Poros and Egina from Athens Enjoy free time to explore each island independently Join a guided trip to the Temple of Aphaia on Egina island (own expense) Relax with a Greek lunch, served on board your ship Upgrade to the VIP experience for exclusive lounge access, unlimited drinks, a private transfer from hotel to port and private check-in What You Can Expect Be spoilt with the VIP Cruise Experience option Begin your experience with a pickup from your Athens hotel or a central meeting point. Then, travel by air-conditioned coach to Piraeus port to catch your ship. Step aboard and cruise to your first destination: the island of Poros. As you take in the views and sea air, hear about the culture and sights on the three islands so you can make the most of your time on each. Arrive at Poros and enjoy around an hour to explore independently. Visit a waterfront taverna, shop for souvenirs or, if you wish, head for Trinzia, a Russian dockyard dating from the 19th century. Alternatively, visit Poros’ so-called Lemon Forest — an idyllic spot filled with citrus trees, windmills and waterfalls. Back at sea, enjoy a delicious Greek lunch at one of two sittings in the ship’s restaurant — either during your 1-hour cruise to Hydra or the next leg of your journey between Hydra and Egina. As you approach Hydra, admire the pretty harbor and get tips from your guide on what to see and do on the island. Head ashore at the colorful capital and enjoy around two hours to look around on your own. Amble down the narrow lanes, relax over coffee, or buy souvenirs in the quaint shops. Afterward, cruise to Egina, also known as Aegina. Here, either join an optional excursion (own expense) to see the well-preserved ancient Temple of Aphaia or delve into the picturesque port town. Stroll along the harborfront, visit an ouzeri or café, or browse the shops. Return to your boat and sit down to enjoy a Greek folklore show of traditional music and dancing as you sail back to Piraeus. After an hour at sea, disembark and finish your trip with a drop-off in Athens. VIP Cruise Experience Upgrade to enjoy special amenities and be spoiled in the VIP class lounge. 1. Departure from Apartment Start Your Day Right

At the appointed time, your driver will meet you at your place of accommodation and take you directly to the port, where your cruise day will shortly begin! From the very beginning of the cruise our live orchestra and entertainers will put you in the right mood with their Greek & international music repertoire. Relax on one of the spacious open decks and enjoy the enchanting views of the Saronic Gulf.

  2. Island 1: Hydra Old-School Trendy

The first stop on your leisurely Saronic cruise will be Hydra (pronounced ee-dra). As we enter the port of Hydra you will be able to admire the unique architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island, whose small narrow stone-paved streets waiting to be explored on foot or by the island’s traditional “vehicle” s– the addled donkey. Chic and trendy due to its spectacular light and quiet, car-free living, Hydra is a popular weekend getaway spot for jet-setting Athenians, as well as artists and vacationers from around the world. Here you can wander its maze of narrow pedestrian paths near the harbor, perhaps stopping in one (or a few!) of the island’s many art galleries and local boutiques. The island also offers a winding, intricate network of walking paths, which anybody with an inclination for a little extra peace and quiet will surely be delighted by.

  3. Island 2: Poros Calm and Pine-Trees

The journey continues and as we sail towards Poros Island lunch is served giving you an opportunity to enjoy a rich choice of Greek Specialties accompanied with a cheerful repertoire of Greek and International music played by our orchestra.

Though Hydra is far from a bustling metropolis, your next stop, lush, green, and pine-scented Poros, will make it feel like the heart of Manhattan by comparison. Largely untouched by tourism, the town at Poros is a calm and tranquil destination, a chance to see life as it is on hundreds of small Greek islands throughout the Mediterranean. A walk up to Poros’ clock tower, the highest point in the town, is an excellent way to spend your time on the island – the view across the rooftops to the water on one side and the thickly-forested pine trees and vegetation that dominates the other truly cannot be beat.

  4. Island 3: Aegina Nuts and Temples

The final destination on your island cruise is Aegina, the largest of all the Saronic islands. Its lively fish market and miles of pistachio groves help sustain a lively year-round population, and it is probably best known in tourism circles for its majestic 5th century temple of the goddess Aphaia, built on a mountaintop with a dramatic vista overlooking the entire gulf and the impressive Byzantine monastery of St. Nectarios. The local shop and beach scene on Aegina offers plenty more to occupy your time there, and you’ll almost certainly find yourself wishing you could stay juuuust a little longer!

Upon arrival you will have time to relax & enjoy this beautiful island. We can heartily recommend one of our Tours which will help you explore the rich history & natural beauty of Aegina.
    1) Guided Bus Tour to the Temple of Aphaia and Byzantine Church of Saint Nectarios.
    2) Panoramic Bus Tour of the Island.
Those who just prefer to relax can enjoy a quiet moment at one of the charming coffee shops on the waterfront.

  5. Return Time to Reflect

Finally as we sail towards Piraeus you can enjoy or “Traditional Greek Folk Show” with singers and dancers in original costumes from all of Greece who, together with our officers, Hostesses and the ever amusing entertainer Jeannot will entertain and animate you up to the final moments as the ship docs in the port. Your driver will meet you at the port upon your return to take you back to your place of accommodation, by roughly 8 PM.
